Another school closes down in Quetta

QUETTA: Another school in the provincial capital was closed down on Monday after receiving a threatening letter.

According to details, staff of government High School Killi Ismail and Boys Primary school received a threatening letter which has caused immense panic among the students and teachers. The staff, while refusing to go to school said unless provided security, refused to perform duty on Monday.

Earlier several schools including Comprehensive High School, Boys High School Wahdat Colony, Sandeman High School and a school in KIlli Shaikhan were closed down after receiving similar threatening letters from different groups.

The Balochistan government has not responded positively yet to these threats in response to the schools’ demand for more security.
