Balochistan government ready to recruit 16000 youth:CM Raisani
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani has said that the provincial government is fully geared up to start recruitment of educated youth against more than 16000 federal and provincial vacancies under the Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan Package.
Nawab Raisani made this announcement while presiding over a meeting of the parliamentary leaders of the coalition parties in the provincial cabinet here Wednesday evening, to take them on board about the government’s plan of action. The meeting was attended amongst others by Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Muhammad Aslam Bhootani; provincial ministers, Begum Shama Perveen Magsi; Sardar Aslam Bizenjo; Mir Asim Kurd Gaillu; Syed Ehsan Shah; Mir Zafarullah Zehri; Mir Shah Nawaz Marri; Capt (R) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai; Mir Asadullah Baloch; Muhammad Younus Mullazai; Zahoor Buledi; Abdul Rehman Mengal; Haji Muhammad Khan Toor Uthmankhel ; Mualana Abdul Samad Akhundzada; Habibur Rehman Muhammadhasni and Muhammad Sultan Khan Tareen beside Chief Secretary Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri; Additional Chief Secretary Qayyum Nazar Changezi and Secretary Finance, Ruhail Baloch also attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that complete transparency and merit based process would be ensured during test and interview of the aspiring candidates and monitoring of the activities would be made at the level of commissioners and secretaries. “In this regard no leniency would be tolerated and the officials engaged in the process have been issued strict orders to ensure transparency,” Nawab Raisani said.
On the occasion the parliamentary leaders reposed full confidence in the leadership of the Chief Minister and assured their utmost cooperation to make this important action complete success, aimed at addressing one of the major issues confronted by the people of Balochistan.
Earlier, explaining the salient features of the vacancies to be filled up from amongst the educated youth of Balochistan, Secretary Balochistan informed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized for conducting test and interviews of the unemployed graduates at the district level by a team comprising the Deputy Commissioner and Executive Officer (Education) from each district including a representative from the Services and General Administration Department.
He said about 5000 vacancies in the education department would be filled up for the position of primary and secondary teachers and teaching assistants at college level. “Besides, 6100 more positions in various provincial departments would be made available in different grades to be processed through these committees at district and provincial levels,” Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri said and added: “the gazette posts are going to be filled in through Balochistan Public Service Commission.”
Chief Secretary also informed that another 5400 vacancies under the federal government in various departments would be filled and interviews of then candidates would be conducted at provincial capital, Quetta. He said the federal government has already released necessary finances for meeting the expenditures against salaries etc. initially for two years. He informed the meeting that test and interviews of these positions would start from 22nd May and the whole process would be completed before close of the financial year i.e. June 30, 2010.
