QUETTA: Authorities in Baloch capital, Quetta, recovered the dead body of Syed Wali Shah,  a lecturer of the Quetta-based Government Agriculture College  from his residence on Saturday.

Government officials said that the dead body of Syed Ali Shah showed severe marks of torture and bullet shots which suggested that unknown people had entered inside  his residence and beaten him to death. The causes of murder could not ascertained nor has any group accepted responsibility for the killing. Police in Quettta have initiated a probe into the killing of the college lecturer.

The dead body of Shah, who served as a lecturer of Government Agriculture College, was recovered from his residence at Rahim Colony near Chaman Phatak of Quetta city on Saturday morning. The slain educationist was reported to be originally a resident of Mardan area in Khabyer Pashtunkhawa province.

His body was shifted to Quetta’s Civil Hospital for autopsy and would subsequently be sent to his native town for burial.
