The Baloch Hal News

QUETTA: A complete shutter down and wheel jam strike is scheduled to take place today in Baloch capital, Quetta, on Thursday on the call of the local business community.

Representatives of Anjuman-e-Tajiran, an organization of business community, has called for a complete shutter down and wheel jam strike for Thursday to protest growing lawlessness in Balochistan and different other issues such as kidnappings, load shedding and failure of the government to provide protection to the citizens of Quetta.

Daily life in Quetta city is likely to remain completely shut. All business centers will remain closed while different official departments have already devised their work plans in the wake of the strike call.

This is yet another strike call by the business community of Balochistan which is taking place two days after the province-wide strike observed by the farmers in Balochistan against load-shedding.

In their strike, the farmers had blocked all highways connecting Balochistan with rest of the country for several hours in order to press the government to meet their demands of restarting the supply of power to the entire province.
