Government should end lawlessness: Governor Magsi
QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi has called upon government officers to discharge their duty with dedication and sincerity and play their role for elimination of corruption from the country.
He was speaking with participants of mid career course of National Institute of Management (NIM) here Wednesday.
Answering questions asked by participants, he said the government was short of resources. It is, therefore, necessary that development funds should be utilized honestly and judiciously rather than being spent lavishly.
He said the presence of private sector was almost nonexistent in Balochistan. In addition, scattered population and shortage of water were two other major issues that hindered the development of the province.
Governor Magsi ruled out the impression that nawabs and sardars were opposed to the development of Balochistan. “Everyone wants the uplift of the province,” he said.
Answering a question about the state of law and order, he said provincial government should take strict measures for maintaining law and order and eliminate those creating lawlessness.
