House of BNP leader attacked in Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: The house of a leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) was attacked in Khuzdar district on Monday, police said.

According to the details, unknown persons hurled a hand grenade on the house of Arbab Mohammad Nawaz Mengal, a senior member of Balochistan National Party. No one was reported injured in the grenade attack, police sources confirmed. However, the residence was partially damaged as the grenade fell in the open premises.

After the incident, a large number of the party workers and Mengal tribesmen rushed to the residences of Nawaz Mengal, including former Member of National Assembly Abdul Rauf Mengal, Sardar Ali Mohammad Qalandarani, Agha Abdul Khaliq, an eminent personality of the area. Police cordon off the area and started the search.

Police registered a case against unknown person and started the probe. No one has accepted responsibility for the attack on the house of the BNP leader.
