QUETTA:
Vice President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Amanullah Kanrani, has demanded representation of all four provinces in Islamabad High Court, as  approved in the 18th Amendment.

Addressing a news conference at Quetta Press Club on Saturday, he said Islamabad is the federal capital of all the federating units and does not have its separate status so that judges should be chosen from all provinces.

“Lawyers would not allow federal minister law and others to appoint judges according to their wishes,” said Kanrani adding that if the legislation was made according to their desires then the lawyers in Balochistan would challenge it in court and would take every possible step to oppose it.

Respondent to questions, he said Musharraf was not alone responsible for military operation in Balochistan those who were in cabinet in previous government and part of the system along with Musharraf should be brought to justice.
“If government had been implemented on recommendations of four parties in August 26, 2006, the situation would be different now,” he said adding that those who supported Martial law in 1999 in Pakistan should be dealt with an iron hand.

He demanded for investigation of suspicious deaths of Advocate Raza Farooq and advocate Sardar Mohammad to reveal the causes. “Both the incidents took place in Islamabad and people are waiting for details which  have not been provided so far ,” he added.
