4 people, including two women, “honor killed” in Balochistan
QUETTA: Four persons including two women have been killed in two separate firing incidents on suspicion of honour killing in Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts of Balochistan on Tuesday.
According to reports reaching here, an accused, Amanullah, resident of Tehsil Tamboo of Nasirabad district, opened indiscriminate firing on his cousin (B) and her alleged paramour identified as Aziz in suspicion of “Sia Kari” (honour killing) and escaped from the scene after committing the crime. As a result, they sustained critical wounds and succumbed to their injuries.
Similarly, in another incident, Wazir Khan, resident of Gandakha town of Jaffarabad district located on southeast of provincial capital, allegedly shot dead his wife namely Asia Bibi and her alleged lover Akhtar Muhammad and fled the scene.
Police sources say, murders could be the result of honour killings, however, police was conducting raids to apprehend accused persons and ascertain the real causes of the killings.
Police handed over the dead bodies to the heirs after completing legal formalities and registered FIR.
