Muslim preacher shot dead in Mastung

QUETTA: A member of the  Tablighee Jammat was gunned down and another companion of his  received bullet wounds when unknown persons opened fire on them near Mastung district on Monday.

Official sources said some people belonging to Tablighee Jamaat were traveling from Karachi to Nushki district, some 145 kilometers on the west of Quetta City, when two persons- riding on a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle in Phirengabad area of Mastung district.

A man identified as Ehsaan Abdul Majeed died on the spot while another Junied Ahmed sustained injuries. Both the victims belong to Karachi. The body of deceased and the injured had been shifted to Quetta. The perpetrators escaped from the scene.

The motive behind incident could not be ascertained. However levies force are making investigation in to the matter.
