Parties agree to restore peaceful educational atmosphere

QUETTA: Representatives of different political parties and students’ wings have agreed to restore a peaceful atmosphere in all educational institutions of Balochistan.

A meeting of different political parties, government officials and reprsenatatives of students unions was held under the leadership of the founding father of National Party, Dr. Abdul Hayee Baloch.

The meeting was attended by Habib Jalib Baloch, central secretary general of Balochistan National Party, Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi, provincial convener of Awami National Party, Usman Kakar, provincial president of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, provincial secretary general of the PKMP, Dr. Ishq Baloch, central vice president of National Party, Tahir Mehmmod Khan, provincial education minister,  Naseem Lehri, Commissioner Quetta, Saadulla, Director Colleges, Dr. Shah Mohammad Marri, vice principal of Bolan Medical College and several others.

The participants of the meeting agreed to act upon the previously decided code of conduct for all the educational institutions. The group will meet again on May 25 at the MPA hostel to discuss the current crisis which led to the closure of all the educational institutions in the provincial capital due to fights between Baloch and Pashtun students.
