PM Gilani meets Sardar Mengal
QUETTA: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday met with former Balochistan chief minister and the patron-in-chief of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal), Sardar Attaullah Mengal, to discuss issues concerning Balochistan, sources said.
A leading Pakistani English language newspaper reported on Saturday with the dateline of Islamabad, without clearly saying whether the meeting took place in Islamabad or Karachi, where the veteran Baloch leader is currently residing.
“Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani met Baloch leader Sardar Attaullah Khan Mengal at his residence on Saturday,” reported the newspaper.
“According to sources, Prime Minister has assured Baloch leader that name of Baloch nationalist leaders will be removed from Exit Control List (ECL). Those whose are not suspicious will be removed immediately from the list but names of some of them will be removed after complete scrutiny.
Gilani has asked Sardar Mangel to extend cooperation for the improvement of Balochistan’s situation. Sardar Mangel told Premier that he will hold talks with other Baloch leaders and briefed him later.”
