Truck driver kidnapped in Nasirabad district

NASIRABAD: Unknown people kidnapped a truck driver on gunpoint from Nothal area of Nasirabad district here on Thursday.

According to sources, driver, Qudratullah was on his way when some unidentified people armed with sophisticated weapons intercepted his truck at Nothal area and made him hostage at gunpoint. The kidnappers drove him away towards unspecified location after bundling him into their vehicle.

Following the incident, dozens of truck drivers blocked National Highway for traffic by erecting barricades to protest the kidnapping of Qudratullah. They demanded immediate recovery of their fellow driver and stern action against kidnappers.

They called off their protest after local administration assured them that all out efforts would be made for the early recovery of Qudratullah and the kidnappers would be arrested.
