Two cops killed in Khuzdar,DMJ

QUETTA: Two security personnel have been killed on Wednesday in two separate incidents of firing in Khuzdar district and Dera Murad Jamali.

According to official sources, unknown armed men intercepted a passenger van in Zehri area of Khuzdar district. The armed men get the security personnel identified as Mohammad Hussain off from the van and shot him dead. The attackers fled the scene.

Local administration reached the spot and took the dead boy to Khuzdar Divisional Headquarters hospital for autopsy. The body was later handed over to his relatives in Zehri Town for burial.

Sources said the slain was serving Pakistan Army and was going to Khuzdar after spending vocational leave to resume his duties. Incident was a result of old enmity, a senior levies officer said. However investigations are being carried out by local officials.

In another incident unidentified men gunned down a policeman identified as Somar Khan near bus stand of Dera Murad Jamali on Wednesday morning. The body of slain policeman was handed over to his relatives after medico-legal formalities. The motive behind murder could not be ascertained soon. A case has been lodged against unknown persons and investigation is underway.
