Two, including a retired teacher, killed in Mastung
QUETTA: A retired school teacher and an eight year-old boy were shot dead in an incident of target killing in Mastung town on Thursday.
Official sources said Abdul Jalil, a retired school teacher, was coming from bank, when armed men ridding on a motorcycle opened fire at him and fled the scene. Victim received multiple bullet wounds on upper torso which caused his instant death and an eight year-old passerby Mohammad Iqbal also suffered bullet wounds in the incident.
Police reached to the spot soon after the incident and took the body and the injured to local hospital. The injured boy succumbed to his injuries while he was being shifted to Quetta for treatment.
Police cordoned off the area and started a search for the killers. The body of slain was handed over to his relatives after autopsy in Quetta. Official sources said the slain retired teacher came to Mastung town for pension and was a permanent residence of Quetta.
Police have registered a case against unknown persons and started investigation in to the matter. Police termed the incident as an incident of target killing.
According to Home Ministry, over hundred people were killed in an incident of target killings during the current year in Balochistan.
