4 killed in Mastung, Mand firing incidents
QUETTA: Four people were killed in two separate incident of firing in Mastung Town, some 50 kilometers from here, and Mand, bordering Town with Iran, on Friday.
According to official sources, three persons traveling on a motorcycle in Kand Masoori area of Mastung Town when unidentified armed men, who were traveling in a car, opened indiscriminate fire on them. All the three victims received multiple bullet wounds on upper torso and died on the spot. The perpetrators managed to escape from the scene after committing crime.
The Levies force reached to the site an hour later after being informed about the incident.
The dead bodies were taken to Mastung Hospital and later shifted to their native town Dasht Tehsil of Mastung for burial.
It could be a case of old enmity, an official said. However, a case has been registered in Mastung Police Station against unknown persons and investigation is underway.
“Three of them left for Mastung Town by motorbike from Dasht early in the morning. They were attacked around at 11:00 am,” official sources told this scribe.
Meanwhile, unidentified armed men shot dead a person near Mand, bordering town with Iran, on Friday, police official said.
The victim identified as Mohammad Abid, resident of Mand, was targeted when he was standing at the bus stop after his arrival from Karachi. The attackers were ridding a motorcycle and managed to flee from the scene after killing the man.
Motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. However, police have registered a case and started probe in to the mater.
