Balochistan Needs Rental Power Plants: Chief Minister
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani has said that in order to overcome the electricity shortfall government has devised both short and long-term strategies, adding federal government is being be approach to set up Rental Power Plants in the province.
Talking to the delegation of Zamindar Action Committee who called on him here at his chamber in Provincial Assembly on Thursday, he said that government was striving hard to resolve the issue of power shortage while utilizing all available resources.
We are well aware of the problems facing the growers and decline of the agriculture sector owing to prolong load shedding, he said adding power issue has been taken up with the President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusaf Raza Gilani and Water and power minister Raja Pervaiz Asharaf as it was the federal subject.
Nawab Raisani, on the occasion directed the QESCO authority to complete the restoration work on the damaged power towers within 24 hours.
Senior Provincial Minister Maulana Wasey, Deputy Speaker Syed Matiullah Agha, provincial ministers Mohammad Nawaz Kakr, Syed Bari Agha, Asim Kurd Gailu and other official were also present.
