CPD seeks action against profiteers
QUETTA: The non-governmental organization Center for Peace and Development (CPD) Wednesday demanded stern action against persons involved in profiteering of edible items and other routine life required things.
A meeting of CPD and Fafeen viewed that profiteers have continued bad practice of selling edible items and other things at their higher prices against fixed rates.
The meeting maintained that shopkeepers usually avoid orders of the government authorities regarding fix prices and used to sell products at higher prices.
It also regretted that high rate of street crimes in Balochistan, particularly in Quetta has created a panic and sense of insecurity amongst citizens.
It demanded of the government to activate District Price Control Committee to put a halt to inflation.
