Delayed repair of transmission line

QUETTA: Work on repair of four towers of  132 KV double circuit Quetta Industrial-Sariab-Mastung transmission line could not be undertaken yet due to delay in security clearance by provincial government.

This was stated by QESCO Spokesman here Tuesday that four towers were blown up by unknown persons on May 28  and QESCO administration had next day requested provincial government for security clearance of the affected site and provision of security for the technical staff of QESCO. Due to non implementation of this request, QESCO Security Incharge contacted Home Department again to provide Bomb Disposal Squad and Security so that new towers could be installed in place of destroyed towers to restore supply.

QESCO had started supply from alternate sources immediate after the blowing of these towers.
