Doctors’ protest enters fourth week in Balochistan
QUETTA: The prolonged agitation of the doctors continued here for the fourth week but no attention has been paid to their demands yet, complained central chairman All Pakistan Paramedical Staff Federation (APPSF) here on Wednesday.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Abdul Samad Raisani, who is also the president of APPSF provincial chapter, demanded of the Chief Minister and Secretary Health Department to resolve the problems of the doctors by negotiating with them.
“The doctors have been on token strike for the past one month due to which the poor people have been on the receiving end. Whereas, the well-offs can afford to go to private hospitals,” he stated.
He further stated that for the greater interest of the poor people the paramedical staff demands of the government to accept the demands of the doctors.
The Baloch Doctors Forum is boycotting the OPDs in all the major hospitals of Balochistan in protest against the kidnapping and killing of doctors.
