Four injured in Quetta grenade attack
QUETTA: Four people, including a Police head constable, received minor injuries in a hand grenade attack on Fatima Jinnah Road here on Saturday night.
Official sources said, unidentified persons ridding on a motorcycle hurled a hand grenade at a shop on Fatima Jinnah Road of Quetta which slipped the target landed and exploded on the road.
As result of blast, four persons, including a policeman received splinter wounds. They were all passersby, sources said. The attackers managed to escape from the scene. The injured were taken to government Sandman Hospital Quetta for treatment. Police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area soon after the blast.
The injured were identified as Head Constable Amjid Ali, Sayed Rohullah, Sardar Mohammad and Hafeezullah who were discharged after getting first aid.
Meanwhile, unidentified persons opened fire on FC patrol party on Saryab Road and fled the scene. There was also an exchange of firing, however no causalities reported.
