Grenade Hurled On A House In Quetta

QUETTA: Unknown attackers hurled a hand grenade on the residence of a citizen identified as Khaliq Hussain the other day which exploded with a bang. The explosion completely destroyed a parked car at the residence, police said.

According to the official sources, unidentified persons lobbed a hand grenade on the residence of Khaliq Hussain at Awami Railway Housing Scheme on Brewery Road early on Sunday morning. The grenade attack fully damaged a car which had been parked at the house while partial damage was also caused to the building. Authorities from the Fire Brigade department reached the spot to put out the fire.

They managed to control the fire after intensive efforts for a long time. A case has been registered by the police against unidentified attackers. Police said no arrests had been made in connection to the grande attack on the residence of Khaliq Hussain but the manhunt for the elements involved in the attack was underway.

No group has accepted responsibility for the grenade attack.
