Home Minister Asks Fake-Degree Holders To Resign Before Being Exposed

The Baloch Hal News

QUETTA: Balochistan’s Home Minister Mir Zafar Zehri has asked all the MPAs and provincial ministers possessing fake degrees to demonstrate moral courage and resign from their positions before the disclosure of the actual status of their degrees which were required to be presented before contesting elections.

“Those who contested elections by obtaining fake documents have cheated their own voters. They should give up their membership of the Assembly before being disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan,” said the minister who is also a senior leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Awami).

He said he did not know who the ministers holding fake documents were but suggested that they should show “moral courage” and resign from their positions before any action was taken against them by the government.

“It is for the government to find out who the ministers and MPAs with fake graduation degrees are,” he suggested.

The minister maintained that those who give up their membership of the Balochistan Assembly, the National Assembly or the Senate before being declared the owner of a fake degree will at least have the courage to face their voters in the future and contest elections but if they are proved to have lied and cheated their voters while contesting elections, they will never be able to face their voters.
