House Comes Under Grenade Attack In Sibi

SIBI: The residence of a local citizen was attacked with hand grenade on Sunday in Sibi District.

Reports coming from Sibi confirmed that unknown persons had lobbed a grenade on the residence of Mir Mohammad Hanbi on Cannt Road Sibi. However, the attack did not cause any loss to people or property. The grenade caused a deep ditch inside the house after it exploded with a thounderous bang.

“The incident sent shockwaves in the area and everybody was scared,” a local journalist told The Baloch Hal.

Subsequently, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mir Mohammad Qasim Saleem and Sub House Officer (SHO) City Mir Abdul Sattar Meher reached on the spot to examine the situation in the aftermath of the grenade attack. They assured the local people that the perpetrators of the assault would be arrested soon and punished. The causes of the attack could not be ascertained.

“The police have cordoned off the whole area and started the search for the criminals,” said a senior police officer.

The perpetrators of the attack ran away after lobbing the grenade on the residence. There were no reports of any kind of arrests till Sunday evening.
