Journalists Walk Out of Balochistan Assembly Session

QUETTA: The journalists of Balochistan staged a walk-out from the session of Provincial Assembly on Saturday against the violence on a camera man of private TV channel and use of degrading words for media by Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq.

Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani and MPA Ms Robina Irfan in person came out of the provincial assembly and held talks with the journalists. The president of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) Abdul Khaliq Rind apprised the reservation of the journalists to the CM Balochistan and Ms Robina Irfan.

Expressing his solidarity with the journalist, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani condemned all such actions against the journalists and said that the eastern society did not allow any use of degrading language against anybody.

Ms. Robina Irfan also expressed her complete solidarity with the journalists and condemned all acts of violence against journalists.

The journalists expressed their thanks to CM and provincial minister and walked in assembly for covering rest of the session.
