Land Sliding Causes Closure of National Highway Near Harnai

HARNAI: Harnai-Punjab section of National highway was closed due to overturning of onion loaded truck yesterday. Highway remains closed for the last two months due to land sliding at 22 Meel zinda Pir. The Department of Building and Road (B&R) has failed to repair and restore the traffic on the section.
Road closure is causing the loss of millions of rupees losses to coal mines owners and farmers on daily basis.
When contacted, B&R officials said that due to the absence of heavy machinery, there were difficulties in reopening the road.
