Man’s Kidnapping Leads to Closure of Roads in Protest

QUETTA: A man was kidnapped here in Musa Colony on Saryab road on Friday.

According to details, unknown armed men driving a car took a man hostage at gunpoint, identified as Fazal Mohammad and whisked him away.

The relatives of Fazal Mohammad have staged a protest demonstration on Saryab road and blocked it for several hours against the incident. The traffic was disrupted for passenger vans and trucks. Passengers, especially women and children, faced difficulties in hot weather of provincial capital. The demonstrators demanded immediate release of Fazal Mohammad.

Police rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident and held negotiations with the protesters. After successful negotiations, the protesters dispersed peacefully and road was re-opened for vehicular traffic.
