Miner killed in Mach gas explosion

MACH: One coal miner was killed and five others injured in coalmine blast in Marwar coal mining field in Mach, some 50 kilometers from here in Bolan District on Monday.

According to inspector mine Iftikhar Ahmed, the miners were working in depth of a coal field, suddenly toxic gases accumulated and released causing explosion killing the miner. All the victims of coalmine blast suffered death and injuries due to gas explosion.

The deceased was identified as Fazal Husain. The body was shifted to his hometown of Shangla Hills for burial. The injured were shifted to Bolan Medical Collage Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Rescue team rushed to the spot and started rescue and relief operation.
