Minister For Resolution Of Balochistan-Sindh Water Issue
QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Excise and Taxation Mir Muhammad Amin Umrani said on Monday that the water shortage had become a serious issue in various districts of the province due to delay in the resolution of canal water issue with Sindh.
Talking to journalists on telephone, the minister who belongs to district Jaffarabad which has an excellent agricultural yield as compared to other parts of the province and has suffered the most due to the current water issue, further said the Balochistan Chief Minister had discussed the issue with his Sindhi counterpart. The issue should be sloved on permanent basis.
The minister feared a huge fallout on the agriculture of the area if any further delay in resolution of the issue is made.
He called upon the elected representatives of Balochistan in the center to take up the issue properly and save the growers of the area from loss.
