Another Truck Driver Kidnapped in Bolan District

QUETTA, July 2: A truck driver was kidnapped on national highway in Baktiarabad area of Bolan district, on Friday.

According to details, truck was passing through the area was intercepted by armed men and took the driver hostage. They bundled the driver identified as Bashir Ahmed in a vehicle and speed away.

Levies force rushed to the spot and inspected the crime scene. Local law enforcement agencies lodged a search in the area for the arrest of culprits.

A large number of transporters gathered on the national highway Baktiarabad and staged a protest demonstration against the administration. The protestors blocked the highway for vehicular traffic for several hours. The transporters chanted slogans against the government for its failure to maintain law and order on the highways.

The protest made long queues on the highway and dozens of small and big vehicles were stuck. The protestors were dispersed after persuasion of police.
