BA Deputy Speaker’s Degree Declared Fake
QUETTA: The University of Balochistan has declared the graduation degree of Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly Matiullah Agha as fake.
According to official sources, the University of Balochistan had received fifty eight certificates of parliamentarians for verification from the Higher Education Commission (HEC). After scrutinizing all the degrees, sources said that the graduation degree of MNA Jawad Hussain and Deputy Speaker of Balochistan Assembly Syed Matiullah Agha were found fake.
Jawad Hussain is MNA from FATA while Matiullah Agha is Deputy Speaker of Balochistan Assembly. Syed Matiullah Agha belongs to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and he was elected as MPA from Balochistan Assembly?s seat of PB- 8 Pishin.
Sources said that JUI-F leader had submitted a master’s degree in Islamic Studies to Election Commission during the general elections of 2008. He had obtained post graduation degree on the basis of a certificate equivalent to gradation from a religious seminary from Multan.
Sources said, concerned religious seminary has declared the degree of Syed Matiullah Agha as fake therefore University of Balochistan declared his Degree as unlawful.
The controller of university Professor Ghulam Nabi has refused to make any comment in this connection. However, he said that process of scrutiny of certificates was continued.
It may be recalled here that Higher Education Commission had already declared degrees of three Members of Balochistan Assembly, including Ms Rubina Irfan, Mir Zafarullah Zehri and Maulavi Abdul Samad as fake.
