Balochistan Chief Minister Visits NHA Headquarters In Islamabad
QUETTA, July 2: Balochistan Chief Minsiter Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani has said that suspension of construction work in different national highway projects was causing problems for the people. If these projects continued to remain suspended, a massive public reaction could emerge.
He expressed these views during his visit to Headquarters of National Highways Authority in Islamabad Friday.
Chairman NHA Chaudhry Altaf Ahmad conducted a briefing on the occasion on the pace and suspension of work on national highways. He assured that all the incomplete highway projects facing suspension would be completed during this financial year.
The Chief Minsiter complained with the NHA officials that the work on many projects could not be completed by the Authority in spite of repeated assurances and the people were facing great difficulties. He said besides their difficulties, agriculture and mineral produce and trade activities were equally being affected which led to causing negative impact on the overall economy of the province.
He said people of the province were meeting him time and again and he himself personally held meetings with the people of the province who are facing difficulties due to non completion of highways and roads. People’s patience is fed up so there is need that funds for these projects should be released immediately and these should be completed immediately.
