Bank Guard, Cashier Killed in Mand

QUETTA: A Bank cashier and security guard were shot dead by robbers during a bank robbery in Mand Bulo Tehsil on Wednesday.

According to levies officials, six masked men barged in to the bank branch and took the entire staff and consumers present inside hostage at gun point. While resistance the robbers opened fire on bank guard Abdul Ghafar and cashier Abdul Hamid killing them instantly.

The bandits looted Rs 04 million and escaped from the crime scene. Both the victims received multiple bullets on upper torso and died on the spot, hospital sources at Turbat told this scribe.

Levies officials rushed the spot soon after being informed about incident and cordoned off the area.

“We have launched a search operation in the area for the arrest of culprits,” a senior Levies official told.
