BNP Policy Not to Be Changed On Teenagers’ Dictations: Akhtar Mengal
QUETTA: The central president of Balochistan National Party Sardar Akhtar Mengal has taken serious exception of the poisonous statements of what he billed as some Anjumans and teenagers on the martyrdom of Habib Jalib, the party’s secretary general, saying that his party would not change its policy on the wish of “immature people”.
Talking to newsmen on phone, he asked the youth —who are asking his party to demand independence of Balochistan by joining the ongoing armed struggle—to keep their views with themselves and refrain from interfering into the politics and policies of the others. “We will not seek dictations from any one: It should be loud and clear. Thus, they should mind their own business,” Sardar Akhtar Mengal said in plain words. He said that the BNP was an established political party and its popularity had been proved which should be an eye-opener to all concerned.
The BNP President said that the immature young men were not aware of democratic norms and had never remained under the discipline of the poor and ordinary people in an organized party and thus they had no right to dictate the populist and democratic party of BNP.
Sardar Mengal was of the opinion that the Pakistani Establishment had always retained power and others had no power and influence on decision-making. Late Habib Jalib and his political colleagues always tried to prevail upon the rulers and the establishment to mend their ways improving governance in the country. Instead of listening and implementing his advice, he was targeted and killed, he added.
“Bengalis understood the message after the first military operation and Balochs failed to understand it even after the sixth operations,” Sardar Akhtar Mengal admitted. He said that the establishment had made the common people target in Balochistan and now the leadership was being made the target for killing because the leadership had taken up the issue of Balochistan in the international forums.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal referred to the famous statement of General ® Pervez Musharraf threatening that we will hit them (Baloch leaders) and they could not know from where they had been hit and the same policy is continuing.
The BNP leader said he did not know where the secret agencies were taking the country and which direction. He said our relations with the establishment had never been good. “We are mourning the death of our colleague then and now,” Sardar Mengal opined. He said he had no expectations from the secret agencies. However, he said he had never refused to hold talks at any stage of political development. He clarified that his party boycotted the proceedings of the past committees of the previous government when he came to know the real intention of the government at the top as the establishment was trying to pollute the political atmosphere.
He reiterated his party’s stand on right of self determination. He said his stand was the same in 2007. No one had objected at that time, he added. He said others have no right to dictate us to change our party policy.
“We are a sovereign political party and not the paid employees of any individuals,” Sardar Mengal told his party critics in plain words.

as per statement of sardar sahib ” bangalis understood the message after one military operation but the baloch failed to understand it even after sixth operation”. But the fact is that the baloch has understand the message in 1958 but some people like you and Dr Malik and Hasil khan are yet not mintally prepared to understand the message even after a chain of baloch martyres. what do you think of the people who are sacrificing their lives for the freedom of this nation ?
A prominent Baloch leader, S. Akhter Mengal, should not
talk unmature which only divides the Baloch nation. Even,
some Balochs, who are helping Panjabistan to exploit the
natural resources of Balochistan, shall suffer at the end.
Who knows when Panjabistan imposes severe dictatorship in
the form of Military or Talibans.
Speaking honestly, some merchant Baloch politicians instigate Balochs when their funds are decreased or
abolished and when their funds are raised by establishment, they try to put water on the fire !!!
We know that those selfish Balochs who sacrified Baloch
interests for their own benefit, their own children and
grand children have been massacred. Be it the rulers of
Kharan, Makuran, Lasbella, Bugti-astan.
Respected Mr. Akhter Mengal. Baloch nation is not a paid
employees of your kind honour. One question, sir. Why your
Grand father, Mir Rasool Baksh Khan Mengal deserted Balochistan and got refuge in Mangho-pir, Karachi, Pakistan ? Balochs know the whole story including the assassination of the father of Mir Rasool Baksh Mengal
by Mengal Tribe.
Well Mr Akhter Mengal and Hasil Bezanjo still looking forward for another round of cheif Ministership under Pakistan army blessings, atleast Hasil is enjoying his Black Lebals as senotor in Islamabad that is good for him, but they suddenly started Harsh criticism against BalochSarmachars(Balochfreedom Fighters) which is not good for them because majority of Baloch people are with Sarmachars. In Balochi there is saying that “Ushter bay deer bechar” ie Be a Camel look farther than under your feet. Do you know Punjabis who think they are only Pakistanis are leaving Pakistan and taking there investment in dubai and other countries, why because they being camel looking farther, they are reading the sign on the wall . Nothing Left in this country, Pakistan is in path of self destruction under Punjabi controll army, a country cannot provide basic nessecities of life to her citizen, how you expect provide you your needs.
UNITY UNITY VICTORY VICTORY
Akhtar Mengal is a pragmatic politician. One who grasps the critical nature of the situation his province, and especially his party, is faced with. He knows that to take up arms will exacerbate the situation rather than bringing a lull the Baloch are awaiting for over 5 decades now. At a time when the United States is brooding over an acceptable solution to the Afghanistan quagmire, going for an armed struggle may not significantly benefit the Baloch. The Taliban issue for Pa kistan will take backseat if uprising in Balochistan appears to be spiraling out of control, and every possible mean shall be employed to crush the movement. And this can be detrimental even to a peaceful political movement. Mengal understands it, but his followers, and detractors, it seems, don’t.

Akhtar, his father, Hasil and others are seasoned people and know exactly the costs and benefits of various modes of political struggle. They know that the nation is so internally divided, on different basis, that extremist actions will bring nothing but destruction to the already scanty human and material resources of Baloch nation. The self-proclaimed freedom fighters may be sincere to their cause but immature and unaware of the history of freedom struggles. A stage may come where armed struggle will become a viable option, but the present circumstances are far from ready for that.
Dear Rahnabard !!!
The Mushrooms of “seasonal Baloch, Pashtun and Sindhi Politicians, employed by ISI, are regarded assessts for
elites of Panjabistan to enrich themselve and their
security forces but, but they are regarded as “Mir Sadiqs
and Mir Jaffers” in whole Pakistan minus Panjabi elites.
The time table is fixed to break the fast in Ramazan but
the friends of those who were bathed in blood, can`t wait
to act because Americans have become darlings to Panjabistan and are ready to hand-over Afghanistan to Pakistan.
Wonder wether Baluchs are turned in minority in their own Province, shall it be be a suitable time to kill them
like Balochs of Karachi and Sindh.
Pakistan gets Afghanistan in golden plate because Americans and others were walked through a “blood bad”
organized by Pakistani ISI through Talibans.
How can Balochs get their “right of self.determination”?
Through condemnation, appeals, requests, rallys, hunger strikes, road-blocks and other ram, ram methods?
Panjabi elites don`t pay their heed to democratic demands of Balochs. Are there any other options to compell them to accept the genuine Baloch demands?
BNP will soon realize that “Teenagers’ Dictations” was the call of the time but only after the Paki agencies have changed the whole Balochistan into a stream of blood and Baloch into a tiny minority in Gwadar, Pasni and Dalbanden. A UN report says Pakistan’s population will double in 2030 and grow to 345 million people (i.e. when Akhtar Mengal’s children will grow to men and women in 20 years’ time), where will the Punjab find an accommodation for this flood of humans, naturally in Balochistan and, of course, on the coast. And when this flood of Punjabi and Pathan washes away all of us then Akhtar will realise or not, will make no difference.
We know that Akhtar Mengal is not that bad of a Baloch politician as he poses to be but he never utters a single word without its being put into his mouth by his father. Nawab Akbar Khan is once said to have told Akhtar that his sons and Akhtar’s father are worthless (tara pet o mana chok, were said to be the wordings used by Shaheed Nawab told to Akhtar). A similar mistake to Akhtar Mengal’s was made by late G B Bizenjo when Pakistan army invaded and occupied Kalat, capital of the indendent state of Balochistan. All political leaders, including Bizenjo were arrested and put behind bars. Agha Abdul Karim decided to took to the mountains and fight the occupying forces – whether to liberate Balochistan or not with a few hundred poorly armed men but at least to record the protest of the Baloch against the forced occupation of their motherland, he sent a messenger to G B Bizenjo asking him to join the resistance movement, physically and morally, but the response of Bizenjo was exactly the same that of Akhtar Jan’s today: we can’t fight the mighty army of Pakistan so why to get killed our people for a lost cause (as if he had got a certificate from the Angel of Death that if he didn’t join the resistance movement he would have an eternal life). Not only this, he immediately joined Pakistan Muslim League while he was still under detention in Khuzdar and distanced himself from any kind of protest against the occupation of his motherland. He took no time to dress in slave and held tight this slavery till his death. Although he was convinced till his last days that his was the right decision that we could not fight the mighty state of Pakistan and should content ourselves with the crusts thrown to us by our masters but I wonder whether Akhtar Mengal will have the same opinion in 20 years’ time when Balochistan will have a picture of today’s Karachi and Quetta for the Baloch. But then it will be too late to cry over the spelt milk.
It is universally known that nations with visionless leaders are lost in the mist of time and I am afraid that Baloch leaders, with the opportunism and short-sightedness of theirs, like Akhtar, Malik and Hasil, etc (I mention these names because they claim to be different from those in Awami, PPP and PMLs) are preparing us for the same. Allah pa Balochan wat.
great baloch leader akhter jan mengal statement is path for baloch youth and all baloch people. bnp policies r full right its proved by bnp,s street power.some groups which r paid employees of few individuals just they against bnp policies they investing Euro not for baloch interest just against BNP popularity which everyone now understand well.
@ Ali Akbar: agreed!
akhter mengal is baloch leder, we baloch must know how to respect our leaders, i agree with sardar sb , some baloch nationalist showing that they r struggling for independent balochistan but basically they r creating confusion among baloch people. every baloch have right to struggle their own way.
