BSO Unveils Protest Schedule
QUETTA: The Baloch Students Organization (BSO) has announced a protest scheduled on Monday condemning the assassination-attempt on its leader Rashid Baloch, who critically injured in target shooting in Khuzdar two days ago.
Addressing a news conference at Quetta Press Club, Javed Baloch Secretary General of BSO, has said that they would close the RCD Highway from Quetta to Karachi on July 18 as protest against the target killing of Baloch political opponents.
“Similarly on July 20, we will block the national highway from Quetta to Taftan section and in July 22 Gwadar to Karachi section,” he provided the schedule of protest.
He said that target killings of Baloch people become a routine practice alleging involvement of Government functionaries. He said that the BSO will old protest demonstrations across Balochistan from 16 to July 27.
“We want to draw the attention of international human rights organizations to intervene in Balochistan where rights of Baloch people are being trample down by state functionaries in face of target killing and also through illegal detention,” he alleged.
