Quetta Journalists Protest Against Police Shooting

QUETTA: The Balochistan Union of Journalist (BUJ) staged a protest rally the other day against the manhandling of journalist by Police personnel and firing by a policeman at a journalist which the latter narrowly escaped.

They took out a rally from Quetta Press Club and after marching through various Roads and tried to precede Governor’s House and Chief Minister Secretariat where they intended to hold a protest demonstration. Police personnel had rushed to the spot and put up barricades on Zarghoon Road in order to prevent the protesting journalists.

The protestors were dispersed when Commissioner Quetta Division, Naseem Lehri, along with other officials assured that FIR would be registered against those police personnel who had been found guilty during the investigation.
