Robbers Take Away Rs. One Million From Kalat Post Master

KALAT: A group of bandits robbed Rs one million and around 1100 forms of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) after injuring the Post Master on RCD highway near Kalat on Thursday.

The post master Naseer Ahmed was on his way to Mongechar from Kalat when a group of armed men intercepted his vehicle and took him hostage at gun point. The robbers snatched Rs one million and 1100 forms of BISP and disappeared. The Post Master received severe wounds when he resorted to resistance with bandits, official source said. However, a case has been registered and local police making investigations.

Soon after the incident, the poster masters of 28 post offices situated in Kalat Division had stopped distribution of money among the needy families under the BISP, protesting against the incident and demanded to provide adequate security to post masters.
