QUETTA: The University of Balochistan (UoB) has sent back the degrees of some parliamentarians to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) after concluding the scrutiny of what were believed to be fake degrees.
“The degrees of all 57 parliamentarian which had been sent back to University of Balochistan, were found genuine and valid,” an official of varsity told The Baloch Hal.
According to him, the degrees of MPAs Rubina Irfan, Pir Qadir Gillani and Matiullah Aga had been declared valid. It may be mentioned earlier different TV channels reported the degrees of three MPAs, Rubina Irfan, Matiullah Agha and Pir Abdul Qadir Gilani, as fake.
It is the second time that the University of Balochistan has declared these degrees as valid, and not bogus.
Now, the University says its record is clear and all documents which had been required by HEC have been provided. So far three cases had been emerged in University of Balochistan which included MNAs Jawed Hussain and PPP MNA Aamir Yar and Rana Rauf whose degrees is challenged in Balochistan High Court.
During an Interview, Vice Chancellor UoB, Prof. Abdul Nabi has said that the religious seminary of Multan earlier declared the degree of Deputy Speaker Balochistan as fake and later they declared it as genuine. The seminary gave no justification for the change in the stand in regard to JUI MPA.
